Our mixes are made with heart
healthy ingredients.Almond flour is a
heart healthy alternative to white flour and
provides lots of protein, fiber, Vitamin E and good
for you monounsaturated fat. Just 1oz. of almonds
gives you 37% of the recommended Daily Value of
Vitamin E.
Vitamin E is an important antioxidant that plays a
role in preventing Heart Disease.
Almonds also contain :
- Protein- 1oz gives you 6grams, nearly as
much as lean meat.
- Magnesium- 1oz gives you 21% of the Daily Value
- Phospherous- you get 15% of the Daily Value
- Calcium- 1oz gives you as much calcium as in ¼
cup of milk.
- Folic Acid- lowers homocystine, a risk factor
for Heart Disease.
- Fiber- lowers cholesterol and helps prevent
certain cancers.
Almonds are the most nutrient dense of the tree
nuts and they deliver a high amount of the nutrients
and Phytochemicals necessary for good health. That’s
why Almonds are the Star of the nut family.
Erythritol is a sugar alcohol (polyol). It is a
Natural sugar substitute and has been part of the
human diet for thousands of years due to its
presence in pears, melons, grapes, and mushrooms. It
has a caloric value of nearly zero and because its
absorbed in the small intestines it will not cause
gastric upset. It is safe for diabetics because it
does not affect blood serum glucose or insulin
levels. Even the dentist are happy with this natural
sweetener because it is not broken down by oral
bacteria and will not cause enamel loss or cavities.

Organic Whole Grain Wheat Flour this flour is ground
from winter wheat and contains all the germ and bran
of the grain. It has a courser texture and rich
taste. The whole grain is slowly digested and therefore
does not spike blood glucose. It also allows your
body to be satisfied with less.
Whey
Protein Isolate is absorbed into your
body faster than any other protein. This
Bio-availability makes it easier for your body to
use. It also provides the highest quality of
naturally occurring branched chain amino acids. Whey
protein is being researched for its bioactive
microfraction’s immune enhancing affects. This high
quality protein helps control blood sugar levels.
Oat Fiber- this oat flour reduced to its Soluble
Fiber and therefore it is completely functional in
your body. Soluble Fiber has been shown to lower
LDL (or “bad”) Cholesterol and possibly reduce the
risk of Heart Disease.
Organic Non-Alkali Cocoa we use organic cocoa so it
is certified free of contaminants and we use cocoa
that has not been processed with acids. Cocoa is a
health food, its fats ( cocoa butter) offer
cardiovascular benefits and even better, the beans
contain powerful phytochemicals called Flavonoids.
Organic Soy Flour we use only Non-GMO soy flour
because it has not been genetically modified. Soy is
a complete protein, and like whey protein, it contains
amino acids.
Xylitol is another natural sugar substitute; also
called birch sugar, it is a sugar alcohol. It is a
naturally occurring sweetener found in the fibers of
many fruits and vegetables. Xylitol contains zero
net carbohydrates and it taste like sugar but it
does not raise serum glucose levels. Xylitol was
discovered in Finland in the 19th century and was
first popularized in Europe as a safe sweetener for
diabetics. Dentist have been using
using Xylitol in their polishing paste, dentist
approved chewing gum, and breath mints. Xylitol may aid in repairing minor cavities and
fight plague and has been shown to
help prevent ear infections.
Stevia is processed from the herbal plant” Stevia Rebaudiana”. It is free from
chemicals, calories, carbohydrates and has been used widely in Japan since the
1970s. When it is refined it becomes a white powder (stevioside) that is 200-300
times sweeter than sugar but it doesn’t raise blood sugar levels. Stevia is
considered a dietary supplement by the FDA and therefore cannot be classified as
a sugar substitute. So, it’s an herb for now. |
